Welcome to the website of D.S.H.V. Torius

Torius is the student handball team of the TU Delft.

We are one of the smaller associations, but nevertheless a very undertaking association! We have several commissions which organise a lot of fun activities throughout the year. An example is Dutch students championship beachhandbal: 3 days of beachhandbal, party and fun entirely organised by the BeachCie (Beach Commission) of Torius.

Beside the competition for the gents and ladies teams, who play together in a combination with EDH, we also attend many student tournaments and foreign tournaments where we let everyone know what Torius is all about, playing handball and having a good party.

Besides these tournaments we usually train in the hall of the sportscenter of the TU or we train outside on the beachfields to prepare us for our own beachhandbal tournament.

Old members day

On Saturday the 16th of May Torius will organize an old members day, but of course this is not only for old members.. we need you too!! We will start around 15h with a little tournament: old against new :p After that we will go to the city centre for diner and drinks. The tournament and the diner will cost around 15 Euros.

Guys' GNSK practice attendance

Because Arend has to prepare his trainings, he’d like to know who will be at the trainings. Besides this it’s decent to let him know whether you will be there.
In case you can’t make it to a GNSK training (Thursdays), please let him know in advance (which means not an hour before training). Please note that Arend has a job, so send it via sms.
 
Aarsbeek/Oirsbeek

During Pentecost (Pinksteren in Dutch) there will be an outdoor handball tournament in Aarsbeek. I heard from some older members that this tournament is legendary. A weekend with handball, hopefully nice weather, camping and - of course - BBQs.
Torius will join with a team that consists of a couple of old members and some active Torians. You can join by signing up via an email to Duncan.

It’s starting to become a tradition: the training exchange with WAVE, the student swimming club.
We will join their training on Monday, May 11th.
They will join our training on the 12th of May.
 
Queen's Day

During the vacation there will be training on Tuesday, but not on Thursday (30.4.) due to Queen's Day, a Dutch national holiday.
