GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is in force since 25 May 2018. This means that members of D.S.H.V. Torius are entitled to the protection of their personal data by the board of the association. This document states which data is stored and what this data is stored for.
Personal data being processed
Personal data provided to Torius by (former) members or other participants in activities are processed and stored by D.S.H.V. Torius. This is about:
- First and last name
- Sex
- Date of Birth
- Address
- Telephone number and emergency number
- E-mail address
- Study and Student number
- Nationality
- Sportscard number
- IBAN and BIC
- Other personal data that you have actively provided to D.S.H.V. Torius
Photos
Photographs are taken during activities organized by D.S.H.V. Torius or facilitated via D.S.H.V. Torius. By participating in the aforementioned activities you agree to take these photos. These photos are stored in the D.S.H.V. Torius archive. All photos can be viewed and deleted at the request of members. Furthermore, these photos can be used for promotional purposes of the association via for example Facebook, the Torius website or email.
Why does D.S.H.V. Torius need this personal data?
D.S.H.V. Torius processes personal data for maintaining membership of the association. Furthermore, the details of former members are stored to keep them informed of the activities and developments of the association. For former members, this is the following information:
- First and last name
- Sex
- E-mail address
- Telephone number
In addition, data is stored when collaboration is entered into, including donors, sponsors, and friends of Torius. The data is stored for the following purposes:
- Sending the monthly update or targeted mailing.
- Membership
- Old membership
- Participation in activities organized by D.S.H.V. Torius, or where D.S.H.V. Torius facilitates participation
How long is the data stored?
The data of members are kept while membership lasts. After signing out as a member, limited information is kept (as mentioned in the previous paragraph) to keep in touch with former members for the reasons mentioned above. The data of former members are kept until 50 years after the last correspondence or until the relevant member, or a legal representative of the member, requests that the data be deleted.
Share with others
D.S.H.V. Torius only shares your information with others when this is necessary for participating in activities that are not organized by D.S.H.V. Torius. The data which members provide to r.k.s.v. Hercules, TU Delft, and/or X falls under the GDPS of these organizations. D.S.H.V Torius is merely an intermediary during the data transfer.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to view, change or remove your personal data. You are also entitled to data transferability, which means that you can submit a request to transfer the personal data that we hold about you to you in a computer file.
